Spending the Week Having Fun!
My daughter, Neva, occasionally petsits in Manchester, Tennessee. This weekend, she came and got me to visit with her on a beautiful horse farm.
On my birthday, we met one of my other daughters, Patty and her daughter Sherria, along with my son Michael and his family, at the Smoke House Restaurant in Monteagle, Tennessee. That was some good family time there. It was so good to spend time with so many of my family members on my birthday. We missed the ones that weren’t there, though.
The Smoke House Restaurant is an interesting place with these hand-crafted wooden pieces of furniture outside and all kinds of candies, jams and fried pies inside.
The waitress gave me a delicious fried peach pie for my birthday.
My grandsons, Brendon and Preston, had fun picking out some candy which Aunt Patty bought for them.
The Smoke House Restaurant also has some of the best cornbread I have ever tasted, and I make pretty good cornbread myself!
I’m so grateful for times like these, spent with the ones I love.
